I would like to take the opportunity to thank you all for the help you bestowed on me by fixing my toilets. It was such a wonderful gesture and certainly appreciated! Sometimes when you are alone and on a fixed income, it’s very difficult to get a lot of things done physically and mentally.

Thank you so much for sending over Melissa Schwartz on United Way Day of Caring. She worked diligently during the morning to help make my downstairs shine with window washing, wiping down the kitchen cabinets and paneling. She cleaned the dust bunnies out of all the nooks and crannies, places I could never reach. Many thanks,

I am writing to express my sincere thanks for the kindness and generosity of each and every member of the Citizens Team that came to my house … to help me with a long list of chores around my home and property, as part of the Livingston County United Way’s 2016 Day of Caring.  It is difficult to know whether I am more impressed with the amount and quality of work that was performed or with the spirit with which it was done. These were truly some of the nicest people that I have met in a long time and I was sorry to see them leave at the end of the day.

No words can express my appreciation for the help I received from United Way’s Day of Caring!! What a blessing!! The help was so polite, concerned and willing to please. Thank you, thank you.

You painted my basement walls – they look wonderful. So clean. So bright. You did work in my yard that I can no longer do. I’m so grateful.

As some of you are aware, the Howell Varsity Gymnastics Team (or at least several of its members) came to Three Fires Elementary School yesterday morning as part of the 15th Annual United Way Day of Caring to clean up our three front flower beds and generally spruce up around the front of the school. They did an outstanding job, and I wanted each of you to be aware of the outstanding job that they did.

Kari Naghtin, Principal, Three Fires Elementary School
